To receive payments (gifts), you must downlaod the Birdie app (our partner) and transfer balances (and connect / manage bank accounts) within the app.
If you already have a Bliss & Bone account with a linked bank account, you can transfer your funds on the app at any time by going to your account profile and clicking “Transfer.”
If you’re unable to successfully verify your identity within 30 days of receiving a gift, the gift will expire and the guest (gift sender) will not be charged for the gift.
To transfer payments (gifts) to your bank account, you must downlaod the Birdie app (our partner) and transfer balances (and connect / manage bank accounts) within the app.
You can edit your payment method anytime by following these steps:
1. Go to your Birdie Profile in the Birdie app
2. Click the "Payment & Payout" tab
3. Tap the payment method you'd like to use and select it as the default method—or add a new payment method
This will update your default payment method for future gift payments to friends.
Please note: The payment method for a payment cannot be changed once it’s been sent. We always recommend double-checking your payment method before sending a cash gift!
Whenever you receive a cash gift, the money is put in your Birdie Wallet. You need to initiate a bank transfer for the funds to be sent to your bank account. You can do that by navigating to the Birdie app, tapping the account icon at the bottom of the app, and then clicking "Transfer". Please note that transfers are reviewed, which could cause a delay or for funds to be frozen or removed from your Birdie account.
Nope! You may keep your cash gifts on the Birdie platform as long as you’d like. Birdie does not force you to transfer your cash gifts by a certain date or within a certain period of time.
Bank transfer timelines are dependent on the Automated Clearing House (ACH), our banking partner, and your bank. Please be patient! This can take 3-5 business days. If you’ve already initiated a bank transfer, there’s no way for us to expedite that process.
Sometimes the transfer may post on your bank statement on a different date than the one estimated on the website, so be sure to check the surrounding dates as well.
If you still don’t see your transfer in your bank account after five full business days, please reach out to Birdie's support team at help@sendbirdie.com.
Your Birdie balance transfer will appear as "Unit Balance" or "Unit Balance Transfer" on your bank statement.
If your friend sent you a gift to an email address that’s different from the one you signed up with, you can add and verify that email address to receive the gift. Follow these steps:
1. Go to your Birdie profile on the Birdie app
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Add the new email address under "Alternate Email"
4. Check your inbox for a verification email
Once you’ve verified the additional email address, the payment (and any future payments sent to this address) should reach your Birdie account successfully.
